If you do, then just do like I did. However, when I plug into the desktop monitor, things are too big and they need to be set back to the default. Once done, I could disconnect the cable.

It picked up the product key off of the notebook's motherboard and activated itself.

Set your monitor to its native resolution. The notebook is using wi-fi. Just for my interest and with all the Window's refresh and reset issues, how did you perform your install, from a retail disc? In trying to change the size of all items, it will allow me to change it on each monitor individually, both on the desktop and the netbook monitor.
